Why am I only getting channels 2 through 13?
Your television, or other reception device has been set to the Off Air, or Antenna, setting. Click the menu or settings button on your remote and look for the reception, or antenna, settings. Often this will be in the top level of the on screen display, sometimes this will be under setup or another label. When you find it change it from antenna, or off air, to Cable CATV or whatever looks like it represents the cable setting. Sometimes you will have multiple Cable setings to choose from: STD, HRC, and IRC, choose STD, or standard. Auto-program your set. If all else fails call us at Vantage Video, we can usualy talk you though the setup of all but the oddest of devices.
Why was i double billed? I know I payed last month's service bill, perhaps a little late.
With a late payment, or even the 'efficient' Houston mail system, your payment may have been received after the cycle has started. You should probably call us at Vantage Video and check with bookkeeping to be sure we have received your payment.
What is this prorate $18.67 charge?
Due to either you starting or discontinueing service aproxamately midway through the billing cycle, or other extenuating circumstances, you were charged half a month's service.
Do you take channel request?
Yes. While we can not guarantee we will immediately add your requested channel, and there are of course channels we can not add. We try to provide a lineup that will satisfy our audience, and request is one way we know what you want.
How do I recieve the digital channels?
For reception, of digital channels, you must have a QAM enabled device. QAM stands for Quadrature Amplitude Modulation, and is a signal format to allow for transmission of digital channels through your cable. QAM is similar to ATSC standard, which will replace NTSC over air broadcast, but the two are not the same and should not be confused. QAM reception has not been required in all televisions as ATSC has. To be sure that you can receive our digital channels be sure your device is QAM or ASTC and QAM enabled, not just ASTC enabled.
